Prehistoric Wolves

/

Prehistoric Wolves are: Warren Klein (Tornado) - guitar, Niki Oosterveen - vocals, Jeff Eyrich - bass, Randy Kerber - keyboards, and Art Wood - drums.

Warren Klein is best known for being a founding member & lead guitarist in The Factory with Lowell George (produced by Frank Zappa), as a member of The Fraternity of Man (Don't Bogart That Joint), and for being a guitarist with Iggy and The Stooges in spring of 1973. He also played in the band 'Road' with Noel Redding, the band 'Tarantula', and founded groups 'The Emergency', 'Tornado', 'Lazer' (the original), 'The Wolves' (now 'Prehistoric Wolves'), and 'The Incredibly Strung-Out Band' with Peter Case.

He first studied with folk music icon Dave Van Ronk, the “Mayor of McDougal Street”, and later studied Indian classical music and was accepted as a disciple by Ravi Shankar at the latter's Kinnara School of Music in Los Angeles. At Shankar's request, Warren composed and played the music over the montage of stills in the Academy Award-winning film Charly.
